What is Aernode Cloud and what does it do?

Aernode Cloud is the standard centralized data and device-management environment for Aernode monitoring networks.

It provides a unified infrastructure for network supervision, data ingestion and storage, centralized post-processing, historical data management and controlled distribution of measurements to users, Reporting Tools and external systems. It is designed to support both individual projects and distributed multi-site monitoring networks.

What is the difference between the Aernode Web App, Database and API?

The Aernode Web App is the operational interface used to supervise devices and networks, review measurements, manage settings and perform remote diagnostics.

The Aernode Database is the centralized data backbone for ingestion, time-series storage, post-processing and long-term management of environmental data.

The Aernode API is the authenticated integration layer used to make cloud-managed data available to external applications and customer data platforms.

Does an Aernode monitoring station require Aernode Cloud to operate?

Not in every architecture. Aernode Cloud is the standard and recommended data-management environment for Aernode deployments because it provides centralized storage, post-processing, remote management and network supervision.

For specific integration architectures, typically OEM or system-integration projects, Aernode monitoring stations can also operate without the cloud and provide data locally to an external system.

In those cases, downstream data management, processing and supervision must be implemented outside the Aernode environment.

Does Aernode Cloud store and provide access to both raw and adjusted measurement data?

Yes. Aernode Cloud stores raw measurements and adjusted datasets in parallel, and standard cloud users can view and export both.

Raw data preserve the measurements received from the monitoring stations, while adjusted data reflect the calibration, compensation and post-processing steps applied centrally.

Both datasets remain available throughout the measurement history. When high-frequency transmission is used, records are automatically aggregated to 15-minute intervals after the first month.

Can Aernode Cloud data be integrated with third-party platforms?

Yes. Aernode Cloud provides authenticated REST API access so measurement data can be integrated with external applications, analytical tools and customer data platforms.

The appropriate data flow, format and update frequency depend on the project architecture and on whether the downstream system requires raw measurements, adjusted data or both.

Can Aernode devices and monitoring networks be managed remotely?

Yes. Aernode Cloud supports bidirectional communication for remote device and network management.

Depending on the assigned permissions, operators can monitor connectivity and device status, review operational data, update configuration parameters, manage calibration settings, perform diagnostics and deploy firmware updates without routine on-site access.

Remote firmware update is available across the current Aernode station platform.

Can one Aernode Cloud environment manage multiple sites and users?

Yes. The platform supports hierarchical access and distributed network management across multiple projects and sites.

Devices and accounts can be organized for different operational environments and, where required, multiple customer contexts. Viewer, Operator and Partner roles separate responsibilities and permissions so each user can access the functions and data relevant to their role.
